Wish

Hello there

Popping in to share a little 6x6 canvas I made my niece for her 16th birthday a few weeks ago. Just used some supplies I had on hand and the cut the butterfly with my Cricut.

Not much to it but worked for a quick and easy gift.

Thanks for peeking.

Monday Evening Ramblings

Hello,

I love Monday evenings because it means Monday is over with! I'm enjoying a quiet night at home watching the snow coming down. Yes, snow, on the second day of spring (I guess we didn't get quite enough this winter - not). Also looking forward to watching the premiere of DWTS tonight, which is one of my favourite shows.

I didn't get up to much crafting this weekend but do have this card to share with you. I made it for my cousin's birthday, which is on Wednesday. She loves purple.

Also sharing a pic of the carrot loaf I made yesterday. Recipe found here. I brought this into the office today for my co-workers. I hope it helped to ease the pain of a Monday morning.

So now that Monday's over with....is it Friday yet? lol.

Thanks for peeking.

Happy Birthday Doug

It's my husband's birthday today. He is a motorcycler and is really missing riding this time of year so I thought I would incorporate that into his birthday card. I used my handy dandy Cricut to cut out the bike and road sign from the Going Places cart. I searched for a "road" thru my Gypsy but don't have any of the carts that contain road images so I cut one out by hand. The cs and sentiment are PTI. The shiny parts on the bike are supposed to be chrome...Doug LOVES his chrome. And he loved the card :).

Thanks for peeking! Sorry for the dark pic.

LSC #65...a surprise!

The Loonies asked some of Char's friends to participate in a special challenge and blog tour this week for her birthday. Because I see Char at work everyday I gave her the card in the post below on Tuesday. I was sure that if I didn't give her a card it would be a signal that something was up and I am more than happy to make my good friend a second card! Happy Birthday Pal! SMILE!!

Char showed me the card she made for what she thought was this week's challenge. It's amazing and I gasped at the colour combo. I had to use it. I loved the Berry Sorbet so much I had to use it inside as well. The sentiment inside is Elzybells and was one of the first stamps I owned.

Check out all the Loonies cards, including the birthday gal herself, as well as the other participants in this fun challenge.

Happy Birthday Char!

It's my good pal Char's birthday today! She is a dear friend to me and my partner in crime when it comes to shopping, especially for craft supplies. Charlene and I work together and too often get side tracked during the day with thoughts and talk of card making. We were perusing the November CARDS magazine at her desk yesterday and she pointed out this card that she absolutely loves, so I had to case it as her b-day card. Hope you likey Char...have a great day!

LSC #64 - Copics

This challenge came at a perfect time. I have recently started purchasing Copics in the Papertrey Ink Trios. I have 9 sets but have yet to try them. After seeing the Loonies cards I realize I have a loooong way to go. But I am anxious to learn as I love colouring.

This card is for my SIL Stacy whose birthday is next week, and it's a BIG one! Stacy is the closest sibling out of 4 to my hubby and is one of my closest friends. In fact, she was my friend before she was my SIL. How cool is that? Stacy actually officiated our wedding ceremony ala Joey Tribbiani on Friends style, but we were married before any nuptials on the show. Happy Birthday Stace!! Sorry my colouring sucks so bad...ha ha.

Thanks for stoppping by. Be sure to visit the Loonies blogs for their truly fantastic copic coluring skills.

LSC #51 & Happy Birthday Regan!

Happy Friday! I am super happy this morning as I am off work today and it's also a long weekend with Monday being a holiday. I feel summer is flying by so it's nice to have this time.

Today's card was made for the wonderfully talented Regan! She is one of the Loonie Ladies and has left me many encouraging comments over the last few months since I have been blogging. So I was thrilled to play along and send Regan a birthday card. Happy Birthday Regan!! I hope you like your cards.

Be sure to visit the other Loonies so you can see their awesome cards. They have also provided links to some others who have played along in this fun challenge.

Have a fantastic day!

Happy Birthday

This is a quick card I whipped up for a great lady I work with. Her birthday gave me a good excuse, I mean REASON, to try out some new PTI goodies. Loving the new colour and I think I will get a lot of use out of the Everyday Button Bits set. Great stamps for when you need a quick card.

I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am easing back to work after my vacation with a 3 day work week. Gotta love it!

Thanks for popping by.
